Initialization view
Initialization data is composed of one or more equilibration regions. Each equilibration region may be associated with a different area of the simulation grid through the EQUIL property EQLNUM. Three different tabs are associated with the region selected in the master table: Parameters, Gas-Oil Ratio and Bubble Point vs Depth, and Total Composition vs Depth.
In the master table for the view you may define multiple regions for your simulation. The fields in the master table are as follows:
Active Determines whether equilibration region is active. Inactive regions are not written to deck.
Name Name of the equilibration region. Used internally by the application. Not generated in the deck.
Region ID ID of the equilibration region. Used in the INITREG property to associate grid blocks with the equilibration region.
1. The Region ID must have a value greater than or equal to 1.
2. The active Region ID numbers must start with 1 and have values increasing by 1.
3. Active models must not have unique Region ID numbers.
Parameters tab
The Parameters tab of the Initialization view contains parameters that describe the selected equilibration region.
Gas-Oil Ratio and Bubble Point vs Depth tab
The Gas-Oil Ratio and Bubble Point vs Depth tab of the Initialization view describes a black oil initialization region.
Depth Depth at which equilibration values are defined. Required.
Rs Gas/oil ratio. Required.
Pb Bubble point saturation pressure. Optional, however one of Rs or Pb must be specified.
Total Composition vs Depth tab
The Total Composition vs Depth tab of the Initialization view is used for entering initialization data for EOS regions.
Depth Depth at which equilibration values are defined. Required.
